Phoenix is about renewal, transformation, and flight. Just as the mythical bird rises from its ashes, this music continually reshapes itself—sometimes through playfulness and reinvention, sometimes through quiet reflection and stillness. Two works in particular capture the spirit of the phoenix in motion: Ornithology S, with flickering sound inspired by mechanical hummingbirds, and wren, which evokes the darting motions of the namesake bird. Between moments of fire, pause, and soaring energy, this music reflects on what it means to begin again.
